Giornata della memoria: sopravvissuta all'Olocausto commuove il Bundestag

La Auerbach ha raccontato la sua triste infanzia, segnata dall'internamento forzato a soli 7 anni nel campo di Theresienstadt e dall'uccisione di 20 familiari

Inge Auerbacher, 87 anni,  è la sopravvissuta all'Olocausto che è intervenenuta il 27 gennaio davanti al Bundestag, il Parlamento tedesco, lanciando un commovente appello per combattere il “cancro” dell’odio contro gli ebrei, nel giorno in cui ci celebra la Giornata della Memoria.

La Auerbach ha raccontato la sua triste infanzia, segnata dall'internamento forzato a soli 7 anni nel campo di concentramento di Theresienstadt e dall'uccisione di ben venti persone della sua famiglia da parte dei nazisti.

"Quattro anni su un letto per le gravi conseguenze alla mia salute. Ho perso otto anni di scuola. Quattro anni di stigma portando la stella degli ebrei”, ha aggiunto lla reduce dell'Olocausto, da 75 anni a New York.

“Insieme vogliamo pregare per l’unità dei discendenti. Lasciateci vedere insieme una nuova alba”.

Nell'emiciclo di Belino si è levata forte la voce di denuncia dell'anziana signora “Purtroppo questo cancro si è risvegliato e l’odio contro gli ebrei è di nuovo frequente in molti Paesi del mondo e anche in Germania. Questa malattia deve essere curata al più presto possibile” animata da una dichiarazione di speranza ; “Insieme vogliamo pregare per l’unità dei discendenti. Lasciateci vedere insieme una nuova alba”.
