La France et cinq autres pays européens ont reconnu l'État de Palestine le 22 septembre à l'Assemblée générale des Nations Unies

France and five other European countries recognized the state of Palestine on September 22 from the podium of the United Nations General Assembly in New York

EU/FRA - La France et cinq autres pays européens ont reconnu l'État de Palestine le 22 septembre à la tribune de l'Assemblée générale des Nations Unies à New York, afin d'accroître la pression sur Israël pour qu'il mette fin à la guerre dans la bande de Gaza.

« La France reconnaît l'État de Palestine afin de promouvoir la coexistence pacifique entre les peuples israélien et palestinien », a déclaré le président français Emmanuel Macron. « Le temps est venu de mettre fin à la guerre, aux bombardements, aux massacres et aux déplacements forcés. Le temps de la paix est venu, avant qu'il ne soit trop tard », a-t-il ajouté.

Emmanuel Macron a toutefois déclaré qu'il conditionnerait l'ouverture d'une ambassade de France dans un futur État palestinien à la libération des otages israéliens toujours détenus par le Hamas.

La Belgique, ainsi que les petits pays que sont le Luxembourg, Malte, Monaco et Andorre, ont également officiellement reconnu la Palestine.

Le dimanche 21 septembre, l'État palestinien a été reconnu par un autre pays de l'Union européenne, le Portugal, ainsi que par le Royaume-Uni, le Canada et l'Australie.

 

ITA - La Francia e altri cinque paesi europei hanno riconosciuto il 22 settembre lo stato della Palestina dalla tribuna dell’assemblea generale delle Nazioni Unite a New York, nell'intento di accrescere il livello di pressione su Israele al fine di metter fine alla guerra nella Striscia di Gaza.

“La Francia riconosce lo stato della Palestina per favorire una convivenza pacifica tra il popolo israeliano e quello palestinese”, ha dichiarato il presidente francese Emmanuel Macron. “È arrivato il momento di mettere fine alla guerra, ai bombardamenti, ai massacri e ai trasferimenti forzati. È arrivato il momento della pace, prima che sia troppo tardi”, ha aggiunto.

Macron ha però detto di subordinare alla liberazione degli ostaggi israeliani ancora detenuti da Hamas, l’apertura di un’ambasciata francese in un futuro stato palestinese 

Anche il Belgio nonchè i piccolo Paesi Lussemburgo, Malta, Principato di Monaco e Andorra, hanno riconosciuto formalmente la Palestina.

Domenica 21 settembre lo stato palestinese era stato riconosciuto da un altro Paese dell'Unione europea, il Portogallo, unitamente al Regno Unito, dal Canada, dall’Australia.

Il riconoscimento dello Stato della Palestina di Francia e Gran Bretagna assume una particolare rilevanza sia dal punto di vista storico-diplomatico, sia a livello d'impatto sull'opinione pubblica mondiale e, sostanzialmente, nella movimentata e instabile fase delle relazioni internazionali. Sono prevedibili riflessi significativi negli equilibri delle organizzazioni e istituzioni multilaterali - nonché nell'Unione europea, per quanto riguarda Parigi -  nelle quali sia Gran Bretagna che Francia hanno peso e ruolo.
