Europa Project Week: Italy’s first event dedicated exclusively to EU projects

EU/ENG - Europa Project Week, the premier festival dedicated to European projects, has rescheduled its dates and will now take place from October 20 to 22, 2026, at the historic Fortezza da Basso in Florence.

“Communicating through projects” will serve as the event's defining theme. By spotlighting funded initiatives within local regions—projects that drive real, tangible change in the lives of individuals and communities—the festival aims to forge a fresh, positive, and concrete narrative of Europe. It will bring the Union closer to its people by telling the stories, challenges, visions, and results that make it truly understandable.

The decision to adjust the dates is designed to elevate the overall quality of the event, encouraging broader institutional participation and maximizing the contributions of partners, exhibitors, and attendees alike.

"A revitalized vision and these new dates in October 2026 will allow us to strengthen the program, expand our collaborations, and deliver an even richer, higher-caliber experience for all participants," stated Vito Cellamaro, Director of EUPW2026. "We are immensely proud to have received the official patronage of both the European Parliament and the European Commission. These are not merely institutional endorsements; they validate the worth and vision of an initiative designed to bridge the gap between Europe and its citizens, showcase the outcomes of European policies, and highlight the tangible impact of local projects. They confirm that today, more than ever, there is a vital need to narrate Europe in a whole new way."

Among the highlights of this edition, alongside the dedicated thematic areas for institutional communication, successful projects, and industry professionals, are two brand-new sections: "Food 2030" and "Tech, Startups, and Innovation." These expansions are made possible through strategic partnerships with major networks such as Impact Hub and Emagister, alongside the invaluable support of Firenze Fiera.

The event will feature a dynamic lineup of sessions involving experts, policymakers, journalists, and technical specialists, as well as citizens, youth, and children, ensuring an authoritative, high-quality debate with the power to influence public policy.

This multi-level narrative will seamlessly connect institutions, the media, and local territories. The ultimate goal is to build a unique ecosystem where information, expertise, and public decision-making converge to generate real impact and concrete opportunities.

Europa Project Week 2026 is set to be a milestone event—one that speaks the true language of Europe and generates lasting value for Italy.
