I socialisti vincono le elezioni in Portogallo. Costa di nuovo premier.

Il primo ministro socialista uscente Antonio Costa ha vinto le elezioni generali anticipate di domenica del Portogallo, confermandosi premier

Il primo ministro socialista Antonio Costa ha vinto le elezioni generali anticipate di domenica del Portogallo con un punteggio che gli permette di formare una maggioranza monopartitica in Parlamento.

Il Partito Socialista portoghese con un risultato che ha superato anche i sondaggi più favorevoli a Costa, ha ottenuto un seggio in più del quorum necessario per poter formare un governo di maggioranza.

Il secondo partito più votato è stato il Partito Social Democratico (PSD), la principale forza politica di centrodestra, che ha ottenuto 71 seggi; il terzo il partito di estrema destra Chega, che è passato dall’avere un seggio in parlamento all’averne 12. Chega è anche l’unica forza politica con cui Costa ha escluso qualsiasi collaborazione.

 

L presidente dell'Eurocamera, Roberta Metsola, commentando la vittoria del premier portoghese socialista alle elezioni generali anticipate di domenica ha twittato :."Congratulazioni al primo ministro Antonio Costa per il risultato elettorale. Può contare sull'impegno del Parlamento europeo per un'Europa più forte e più giusta". E ha aggiunto "I prossimi anni - aggiunge - saranno decisivi per la ripresa economica dell'Ue e per realizzare le transizioni climatiche, digitali e sociali".
