In un discorso tenuto alla Sorbona giovedì a Parigi, il presidente francese Macron ha chiesto difesa e bilancio più solidi per l'UE

In un discorso tenuto alla Sorbona giovedì a Parigi, il presidente francese ha chiesto una difesa più forte dell’UE e di raddoppiare il bilancio dell’UE per aprire la strada a una “Europa potente”.

Il presidente francese Emmanuel Macron, giovedì 25 aprile, ha invocato un’“Europa potente”, che “si faccia rispettare”, “garantisca la sua sicurezza” e riacquisti “la sua autonomia strategica”, nel corso di un discorso sull’Europa pronunciato all’Università di Parigi. la Sorbona, a Parigi. “Dobbiamo essere chiari sul fatto che la nostra Europa oggi è mortale. Può morire e dipende solo dalle nostre scelte. Ma queste scelte devono essere fatte adesso”, ha insistito il capo dello Stato. Il presidente francese ha menzionato in particolare un'Europa "in situazione di accerchiamento" di fronte alle grandi potenze regionali (Russia, Iran, ecc.) e che bisogna promuovere e difendere i valori della "democrazia liberale" europea sempre più, a torto, ”criticati" e "contestati".
