Spagna e Italia, "paesi di frontiera, vogliono vincere il problema migratorio, sicurezza dei paesi del nord Africa, stabilità e sviluppo in Ue e Mediterraneo

Si è parlato molto nelle ultime settimane del 2021 dell'asse tra Macron e Draghi sul fornte della grande politica europea, meno dei buoni rapporti diplomatici e politici in corso tra Roma e Madrid. A sottolineare la sintonia a Bruxelles tra governo Sanchez ed esecutivo Draghi, va registrata una significativa dichiarazione del diplomatico italiano più alto in grado a Madrid, Riccardo Guariglia,  a margine della Conferenza alla Farnesina degli Ambasciatori del 20 dicembre.

"Italia e Spagna sono due paesi che hanno moltissime affinità. Sono due paesi della sponda sud del Mediterraneo e possono insieme portare una voce molto importante a Bruxelles, una voce mediterranea". E' quanto ha detto all'ANSA Guariglia, sottolineando che Italia e Spagna "Lavorando insieme i due paesi sono una forza" e aggiungendo che "le due popolazioni rappresentano più del 25% dei cittadini europei".

Un rinnovato corso che, per Guariglia, ha avuto tappe di svolta come la visita di Stato del Presidente Mattarella, la prima dopo 25 anni, nonchè a Barcellona il primo bilaterale in Europa di Mario Draghi. "Non è una coincidenza - ha aggiunto all'Ansa l'ambasciatore a Madrid- perché con la Spagna c'è veramente molto da fare, i due governi lavorano molto bene, alla fine si parla la stessa lingua".
