Germania: crescita zero nel secondo trimestre del 2023

Il Pil tedesco è cresciuto solo dello 0,0% nel secondo trimestre del 2023 rispetto al trimestre precedente.

I dati effettivi si sono rivelati una delusione per l'economia tedesca stagnante< e senza crescita nel secondo trimestre del 2023 (0,0% su base trimestrale). La crescita aggiustata per i giorni lavorativi è stata del -0,2% trimestrale ed è stata leggermente superiore al -0,3% trimestrale previsto.

Secondo il Fondo monetario internazionale, la Germania potrebbe essere l'unica economia del G7 a contrarsi nel 2023. In base alle previsioni dell'organizzazione, il Paese potrebbe perdere lo 0,3% del Pil, mentre le altre principali economie mondiali dovrebbero crescere: +1,8% per gli USA.. Stime che sono solo peggiorate dall'ultimo rapporto di aprile, che ipotizzava un calo della produzione economica tedesca dello 0,1%. Sono due le principali cause. L'inasprimento della politica monetaria restrittiva della Bce e la minore domanda di beni tedeschi nella competizione commerciale, in particolare da parte della Cina.  Ma la ragione principale è sempre la stessa: le conseguenze durature della crisi energetica, in particolare sulla produzione industriale. La Germania dipendeva fortemente dal gas russo e sostituire questa fonte non è stato facile né economico.

La Bundesbank, la banca centrale tedesca, era già giunta alle stesse conclusioni, quindi la dichiarazione del Fmi non è stata una sorpresa. In ogni caso, le perdite della principale economia dell'Unione europea non sono certo un buon segnale per l'intera Ue e soprattutto per l'Eurozona.

L'inflazione è intanto in lieve calo e si attesta al 6,2% a luglio contro il 6,4% del mese precedente, a fronte di una inflazione scesa in Francia al 5%.
