L'eurozona in recessione tecnica

Nel primo trimestre 2023 l'Eurozona è entrata in recessione tecnica registrando una La contrazione del Pil nell'Eurozona dello 0,1% per due trimestri

La contrazione del Pil nell'Eurozona dello 0,1% per due trimestri consecutivi, ha fatto entrare, nel primo trimestre 2023,  l'Eurozona in recessione tecnica. E' quanto è emerso dai dati sul Prodotto interno lordo elaborati da Eurostat.

 

I dati

Secondo quanto riferisce Eurostat, rivedendo al ribasso le sue stime precedenti, nel primo trimestre dell'anno nei 20 Paesi dell'Eurozona il Pil è diminuito dello 0,1% rispetto al trimestre precedente. Nell'insieme dell'Ue si è invece registrato un aumento dello 0,1%. Già nell'ultimo trimestre del 2022 il Pil era diminuito dello 0,1% nell'Eurozona e dello 0,2% nell'Ue. Rispetto al primo trimestre del 2022, invece, la crescita è stata dell'1% in entrambe le zone. Sul trimestre, Polonia, con un più 3,8%, e Lussemburgo, con un più 2%, sono risultate molto sopra la media. L'Italia è cresciuta dello 0,6%. Dati sconfortanti per la Germania che ha registrato invece un meno 0,3%.

 

Cos'è una recessione tecnica

Quando il Pil fa segnare una variazione congiunturale negativa per due trimestri consecutivi ovvero quando il Pil trimestrale è inferiore a quello del trimestre precedente per due volte di seguito, gli statistici e gli economisti parlano di recessione tecnica. La variazione congiunturale mette a confronto il trimestre precedente, mentre quella tendenziale, fa riferimento allo stesso trimestre dell'anno precedente.

 

Migliora l'occupazione

Spiragli s'intravedono sul fronte occupazionale. Le persone occupate nel primo trimestre 2023 nell'Eurozona è cresciuto dello 0,6% rispetto al trimestre precedente. Di poco inferiore la crescita nell'intera Ue, salita dello 0,5%. Rispetto all'anno precedente, gli occupati sono cresciuti dell'1,6% in entrambe le zone. 

L'Eurostat conferma quindi la stima flash di maggio per i venti Paesi della zona euro mentre corregge al ribasso quella per la Ue (più 0,5% invece di più 0,6%). Nel primo trimestre del 2023, l'Il dato Paese per Paese evidenzia una buona performance per Estonia (più 4,4%), Malta (più 2,9%) e Irlanda (più 1,6%) rispetto al trimestre precedente. L'Italia si attesta ad un più 0,8%. Meno occupati si registrano in Grecia (meno 0,3%), Romania (meno 1,1%) e Lituania (meno1,5%).
