ITA - In Italia, mercoledi 19 marzo, si è verificato un acceso scontro verbale alla Camera dei Deputati tra la Presidente del Consiglio e i banchi delle opposizioni di centro-sinistra a seguito di un riferimento polemico al Manifesto di Ventotene dal quale la Premier ha dedotto che l'Europa prefigurata da quel testo non è la sua. Letteralmente ha detto: "Non so se questa è la vostra Europa ma certamente non è la mia", scegliendo di chiudere la sua replica alla Camera con una serie di citazioni dal testo scritto nel 1941 da Altiero Spinelli e Ernesto Rossi, con il contributo di Eugenio Colorni, confinati dal regime fascista sull'isola pontina.
L'Aula si è infiammata , fra le urla di approvazione della maggioranza e le proteste delle opposizioni: la seduta è stata sospesa, con accese polemiche, proseguite anche alla ripresa dei lavori, mentre la premier era già in volo per il Consiglio europeo di Bruxelles del 20 e 21 marzo.
