La Bce alza i tassi d'interesse al 4,50%

La Bce alza i tassi d'interesse al 4,50%

Decimo rialzo consecutivo. Lagarde: l'inflazione continua a diminuire, ma resta ancora troppo elevata.

La Banca centrale europea ha alzato i tassi d'interesse dello 0,25%, portando il tasso sui depositi al 4%, quello sui rifinanziamenti principali al 4,50% e quello sui prestiti al 4,75%. Si tratta del decimo rialzo consecutivo dopo quello del 27 luglio che aveva portato il tasso al 4,25%, dal 4%, con un aumento anche in quel caso di 25 punti base. 

Nella conferenza stampa a Francoforte di giovedi 14 settembre che ha annunciato il rialzo, la Presidente della BCE Lagarde ha sottolineato che "l'inflazione continua a diminuire, ma resta ancora troppo elevata. Obiettivo della Bce è di “riportarla al 2% nel medio termine” e inoltre che "il Consiglio direttivo ritiene che i tassi abbiano toccato livelli che, mantenuti sufficientemente a lungo" faranno raggiungere l'obiettivo.
