Primo Consiglio europeo informale per accordarsi su chi coprirà i top jobs dell'Ue nella decima legislatura

EN - On the evening of Monday 17 June, the first informal meeting of the EU leaders will be held to agree on who will cover the top jobs in this legislature.

IT - Nella serata di lunedi 17 giugno, si terrà la prima riunione informale dei capi di stato e di governo dei 27 paesi Ue per accordarsi su chi coprirà i top jobs dell'Ue in questa legislatura.

Sono previste due le fasi dell'incontro. Una prima parte, dedicata all'analisi del voto, vedrà la partecipazione anche le attuali massime cariche dell'Unione, Von der Leyen, Michel, Metsola e Borrell. I quattro usciranno nella seconda parte, nella quale i leader negozieranno per giugnere a decidere le nomine di vertice delle istituzioni europeee. 

Nel caso si dovesse raggiungere un'intesa, sarà ufficializzata al Consiglio europeo del 27 e 28 giugno. Sarà nella prima sessione del rinnovato Parlamento a luglio che i deputati dell'emiciclo saranno chiamato a votare la nuova presidente della Commissione. 

Ursula von der Leyen, espressione dei Popolari, prima forza in Parlamento, è la favorita. Non sono esclusi “franchi tiratori”, ovvero deputati che, si stima uno ogni dieci, potrebbero votare in difformità dalle indicazioni del gruppo. Anche in virtù di questo scenario, si è aperto un dibattito nella maggioranza, composta da popolari, socialdemocratici e liberali, per allargarla o meno ad altri gruppi.
