L'unanime condanna europea dell'assalto in Brasile

Manifestanti pro-Bolsonaro si sono introdotti negli edifici della Corte Suprema, del Congresso e nel palazzo presidenziale. 46 i feriti anche gravi. 400 arresti

Nel corso del pomeriggio di domenica 8 gennaiio in Brasile è andata in scena la "Capitol Hill" del Brasile con l'assalto dei sostenitori di Jair Bolsonaro al Palazzo del Planalto e agli altri centri del potere di Brasilia,

I manifestanti si sono introdotti negli edifici della Corte Suprema, del Congresso e nel palazzo presidenziale oltre ad aver rotto finestre, ribaltato mobili, distrutto opere d'arte, hanno rubato la Costituzione originale del 1988. Armi sono state prelevate da un ufficio di sicurezza del presidente.

 

Il sostegno planetario alle istituzioni democratiche brasiliane

 

Nel mondo ed in Europa si sono moltiplicate le dichiarazioni di sostegno a Lula e alla democrazia del sub-continente verdeoro.

Unanime la condanna dai vertici istituzionali dell'Unione europea.

"Il Parlamento europeo sta da parte del Governo Lula e tutte le istituzioni legittimamente e democraticamente elette" scrive in un tweet la presidente dell'Eurocamera Metsola.

Dello stesso tono il tweet del presidente del Consiglio Ue, Charles Michel: "Condanna assoluta dell'assalto alle istituzioni democratiche del Brasile. Pieno sostegno al Presidente Lula Da Silva, democraticamente eletto da milioni di brasiliani attraverso elezioni giuste e libere".

Anche la presidente della Commissione Ue von der Leyen condanna "fermamente l'assalto alla democrazia in Brasile. E' una grande preoccupazione per tutti noi, difensori della democrazia". Aggiungendo: "il pieno sostegno al presidente Lula, eletto liberamente". 

l'Alto Rappresentante per la Politica Estera e di Sicurezza Josep Borrell si è detto "costernato".

 

I provvedimenti in Brasile dopo l'assalto.

 

Sono stati effettuati oltre mille arresti tra i manifestanti. E' stato inoltre rimosso il governatore di Brasilia.

Almeno 46 persone, di cui sei in condizioni gravi, sono rimaste ferite nei disordini, secondo i media spagnoli, che citano i dati forniti dall'Ospedale di Brasilia.
