Il tour europeo di Zelensky

Tre le tappe. Londra. Parigi e Bruxelles.

Il presidente ucraino Zelensky è alle prese con un importante tour strategico-diplomatico in Europa occidentale. Tre le tappe. Londra. Parigi e Bruxelles.

Durante la sua visita in Gran Bretagna, accolto con particolari onori dal primo ministro Rishi Sunak, Zelensky ha chiesto a Westminster Hall di fornire jet da combattimento.

Volato a Parigi, il presidente Volodymyr Zelensky ha incontrato Emmanuel Macron e Olaf Scholz.L’incontro a tre è stato giustificato dalla “tradizionale collaborazione francotedesca prevista dal trattato di Aquisgrana (2019), che prevede una stretta interazione tra Berlino e Parigi in molti campi, a partire dalla politica estera e di difesa”. Ai leader dei due principali Paesi Ue di Francia e Germania Zelensky ha chiesto aerei da combattimento ai suoi alleati europei e ha esortato i suoi omologhi francese e tedesco a inviare "armamenti pesanti a lungo raggio".

A Parigi, nel corso della conferenza stampa congiunta, Zelensky ha voluto rimarcare che Francia e Germania hanno il potenziale per cambiare le regole del gioco cpntro l'aggressore russo.

Il presdeinte francese ed il cancellier tedesco hanno ribadito il loro sostegno all'Ucraina.

Secondo il presidente ucraino: "Tutto è chiaro: prima l'Ucraina potrà avere armi potenti e a lungo raggio, Emmanuel, prima i nostri piloti potranno avere aerei moderni, Olaf, più forte sarà la nostra risposta. Vi sono grato per aver iniziato questo percorso, per far finire l'aggressione russa. E restituiremo una certa pace all'Europa".

Nel tweet: "Omaggio all'Ucraina e al suo popolo. Omaggio a te, caro Volodymyr, per il tuo coraggio e il tuo impegno".

Nell'ambito del suo tour europeo, giovedì 9 febbraio Zelensky è atteso a Bruxelles per incontrare vertici istiuzionali dell'Unione e leader dei Paesi membri.
