The 50th G7 summit in Italy

Il 50° vertice del G7 si svolge in Italia dal 13 al 15 giugno.

EN - From Thursday 13th to Saturday 15th June 2024, the meeting of the Heads of State and Government of the G7 countries with Italian presidency will take place in Italy. The 50th G7 summit takes place in the municipality of Fasano, in the province of Brindisi, at the Borgo Egnazia resort. The Group of 7 (abbreviated as G7) brings together the Heads of State and Government of the 7 most industrialized nations in the world. They include: Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, United Kingdom, United States. The European Union also participates in the Group, represented at the top by the President of the European Council and the President of the European Commission.

IT - Da giovedì 13 a sabato 15 giugno 2024 si svolge in Italia la riunione dei Capi di Stato e di Governo dei paesi G7 con presidenza italiana. Il 50° vertice del G7 si svolge nel comune di Fasano, in provincia di Brindisi, presso il resort Borgo Egnazia.

Il Gruppo dei 7 (abbreviato in G7) riunisce i Capi di Stato e di Governo delle 7 nazioni più industrializzate del mondo. Ne fanno parte: Canada, Francia, Germania, Giappone, Italia, Regno Unito, Stati Uniti. Al Gruppo partecipa anche l’Unione Europea, rappresentata ai vertici dal Presidente del Consiglio Europeo e dal Presidente della Commissione Europea.

Da giovedì 13 a sabato 15 giugno 2024 si svolge in Italia la riunione dei Capi di Stato e di Governo dei paesi G7 con presidenza italiana. Il 50° vertice del G7 è ospitato nel resort Borgo Egnazia sito nel comune di Fasano, in provincia di Brindisi.

Il Gruppo dei 7 (abbreviato in G7) riunisce i Capi di Stato e di Governo delle 7 nazioni più industrializzate del mondo. come noto, ne fanno parte Canada, Francia, Germania, Giappone, Italia, Regno Unito, Stati Uniti. Al Gruppo partecipa anche l’Unione Europea, rappresentata ai vertici dal Presidente del Consiglio Europeo e dal Presidente della Commissione Europea.

Hanno raggiunto la Puglia il presidente degli Stati Uniti Joe Biden, il primo ministro giapponese Fumio Kishida e quello canadese, Justin Trudeau. A fare gli onori di casa il presidente del governo italiano Meloni. Folta la pattuglia europea a partire dalla presidente della Commissione europea Von der Leyen e dal presidente del Consiglio europeo Michel, dal premier britannico Rishi Sunak al presidente francese Emmanuel Macron e al cancelliere tedesco Olaf Scholz.  

Oltre ai mandatari delle principali democrazie, sono attesi anche il Papa Francesco, il primo ministro indiano Narendra Modi e il presidente brasiliano Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Il presidente della Repubblica Mattarella ha dato il benvenuto ai mandatari con una cena organizzata la sera del 13 giugno nel Castello Svevo di Brindisi.

 

Nato come foro di dialogo e coordinamento in materia economica e finanziaria, il G7 ha esteso la sua attività fino a ricomprendere diversi altri settori dell'attività internazionale come l'aiuto allo sviluppo e il contributo alla pace e alla sicurezza globali. Nella tre giorni in Italia i leader d'Occidente si trovano ad animare un confronto su temi e sfide di grande rilevanza ed attualità come testimonia la presenza al vertice del Presidente dell'Ucraina Volodymyr Zelenskyy, con Putin che dalla Russia vuole imporgli per cessare l'aggressione di rinunciare a Crimea, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Lugansk e Kherson e la rinuncia all’ingresso nella Nato.  Per Kiev l'offerta di pace dei russi è una farsa, unitamente alla richiesta del G7 a Mosca di pagare i danni di guerra.
