Marc Angel eletto nuovo vicepresidente del Parlamento europeo

L’elezione del deputato dei gruppo S&D si è tenuta nel corso della sessione plenaria di Strasburgo.

Il lussemburghese Marc Angel è stato eletto come nuovo vicepresidente del Parlamento europeo al posto di Eva Kaili. L’elezione del deputato del gruppo dei Socialisti e Democratici (S&D) è si è tenuta nel corso della sessione plenaria di Strasburgo, a fine mattinata di mercoledi 18 gennaio..

Nella prima votazione Angel non aveva ottenuto la maggioranza dei voti. E' stato eletto infine al secondo turno, con 307 voti, contro i 185 della parlamentare italiana Annalisa Tardino (Lega) e i 95 della francese di Gwendoline Delbos-Corfield (Verdi/Ale), su un totale di 645 votanti, di cui 55 astenuti. La maggioranza necessaria era di 296 voti.
