Molto significativamente Draghi ha rimarcato al Senato a Roma: Il ricorso dell'Ue al debito comune è l’unica strada.

EU/EN - On Tuesday 18 March Mario Draghi participated in the informal hearing at Palazzo Madama in Rome before the Budget, Productive Activities and EU Policies Committees of the Senate and the Chamber, to present his Report on the future of European competitiveness

 

IT - Martedi 18 marzo Mario Draghi ha partecipato, a Palazzo Madama a Roma, all'audizione informale davanti alle commissioni Bilancio, Attività produttive e Politiche Ue del Senato e della Camera, per presentare il suo Rapporto sul futuro della competitività europea. 

Il passaggio sulla difesa comune di Mario Draghi è stato pragmatico ma non privo di enfasi: "Occorre definire una catena di comando di livello superiore che coordini eserciti eterogenei per lingua, metodi, armamenti e che sia in grado di distaccarsi dalle priorità nazionali operando come sistema della difesa continentale".  ha detto ll consulente speciale della Commissione Ue aggiungendo, tra l'altro: “Una seria politica di rilancio della competitività europea deve porsi come primo obiettivo la riduzione delle bollette – per imprese e famiglie.”

Il ricorso finalizato al debito comune risuona come l'ennesimo monito di Draghi a consolidare consenso e risorse intorno ad una delle priorità che indica nel Rapporto per il quale è stato audito. Molto significativamente Draghi ha rimarcato: “un’Europa che cresce finanzierà più facilmente un fabbisogno finanziario che ormai supera le previsioni del Rapporto. Un’Europa che riforma il suo mercato dei servizi e dei capitali vedrà il settore privato partecipare a questo finanziamento. Ma l’intervento dello Stato resterà necessario. Il ricorso al debito comune è l’unica strada.”

Il Rapporto sulla competitività resta un'autorevole documento dal quale al Berlaymont si attingono spesso linee guida per le iniziative della Commissione, a riprova dell'autorevolezza della figura di Draghi in Europa.
