Fmi: l'eurozona in crescita dello 0,9% nel 2024

Fmi: l'eurozona in crescita dello 0,9% nel 2024

Cina al 4,6% e Stati Uniti al 2,1%. Il capo economista Gourinchas non prevede una recessione.

Il Fondo monetario internazionale ha reso noto le nuove stime economiche, con i dati dell'aggiornamento del World Economic Outlook. 

Il Prodotto interno lordo dell'eurozona è dato in crescita dello 0,9% nel 2024. In area positiva i principali Paesi membri, con la Francia che cresce dell'1%, il doppio della Germania allo 0,5%. Tra Parigi e Berlino, si attesta il dato dell'Italia con un Pil che salirà dell'0,7% nel 2024.

“Siamo molto lontani da uno scenario di recessione” per l’economia mondiale, ha rassicurato il capo economista del Fondo Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas che si è espresso anche riguardo la politica monetaria della Banca centrale europea che dovrebbe lasciare i tassi ai livelli attuali fino alla seconda metà del 2024 per poi farli calare gradualmente con l’inflazione che si muove verso il target statutario del 2 per cento.

Secondo il Fondo, i Pil dei due rivali sistemici Usa e Cina sono da stimare al rialzo. Gli Stati Uniti cresceranno del 2,1% nel 2024, in risalita dal precedente + 1,5%. Con un Pil che si attesta al 4,6% la Cina allontana nel 2024 i timori di eccessivi rallentamenti della sua economia, guadagnando 0,4 punti percentuali in più rispetto alla precedente stima.
